At a $20/g distillate price, a 60/40 split nets you more than cash toll because cash toll's per-gram fee eats too much margin below the $25/g crossover.

How the Math Works

Cannabinoid mass = biomass weight × potency. Finished distillate = cannabinoid mass × extraction recovery × distillation recovery, divided by distillate potency to back out a weight at 90% strength.

Cash toll charges $10 per gram of finished distillate (BSD's published rate, $10,000/kg). You keep 100% of the output and pay the fee in cash. 60/40 split means no cash up front — BSD keeps 40% of the distillate as compensation; you keep 60%. Realized cultivator $/g equals 0.6 × distillate sale price; cash-toll $/g equals (sale price − $10).
